The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has announced that Eagle Drive, situated between Elm and Locust, will be closed starting Monday, May 6. This closure is part of a road rehabilitation project on US77, encompassing the area from Eagle Drive to McKinney Street. The closure is expected to last for a month and marks the beginning of a series of phased closures set to continue until the project’s expected completion in the fall of 2024.

TxDOT will provide updates regarding detours for future lane closures as they happen. Upon the project’s completion, Eagle Drive will be fully reconstructed. In the meantime, residents are encouraged to exercise caution around the work crews and, if possible, steer clear of the area.
