The City of Denton lifted Stage 1 watering restrictions on Aug. 23, 2026, returning to normal service levels after repairs were completed on a damaged basin at one of the city’s water treatment facilities.
The city had temporarily moved to Stage 1 of its Drought Contingency Plan on Aug. 19 as a precautionary measure to help manage water demand while the repair was underway.
“We would like to thank our residents and community partners for their patience and for their ongoing commitment to water conservation in Denton,” the city said.
