Denton Public Library will temporarily close its facilities on separate August dates for maintenance and staff training, using a staggered schedule intended to keep only one library closed at any given time.
North Branch Library will close for a full day. South Branch Library and Emily Fowler Library will each close for half a day.
Library closures
- North Branch Library: 3020 N. Locust St.; Aug. 7, closed all day
- South Branch Library: 3228 Teasley Ln.; Aug. 14, closed 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Emily Fowler Library: 502 Oakland St.; Aug.21, closed 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Services during closures
During the closures, all Library cardholders may use their cards at any open Denton Public Library during regular operating hours. Books may be returned in book drops at any location, and wi-fi will be available in parking lots at any location.
