DENTON, TX, April 21, 2025 – The City of Denton has officially launched its 311 Contact Center, a centralized hub designed to simplify how residents access non-emergency, city-related services and information. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance customer service delivery across Denton.

The 311 Contact Center is staffed around the clock with call center representatives trained in customer service and equipped with extensive knowledge of city services. This is intended to ensure residents receive accurate information and assistance promptly upon their first contact with the city.

City Manager Sara Hensley emphasized that the launch of Denton 311 underscores a commitment to making city services more accessible and efficient. “By streamlining resources into a centralized space, we’re not only improving the resident experience but also strengthening our ability to make informed, data-driven decisions,” she stated.

As an extension of the contact center, the city is also launching the Denton 311 mobile app to replace the Engage Denton app for submitting service requests. The new app includes all the functionalities of its predecessor, along with additional features like text message progress updates for real-time information on service requests. The online service request portal will transition from engagedenton.com to www.cityofdenton.com/denton311, offering a cohesive experience across both mobile and web platforms.

The Engage Denton app will cease to operate as of Monday, April 28. Residents are encouraged to download the Denton 311 app to continue submitting service requests via mobile phone. Existing service requests submitted through Engage Denton will still be processed without interruption.
