The City of Denton State of the City event is going virtual this year. The City will host our first virtual State of the City over four days, beginning Monday, Feb. 1 and ending with a live event on Thursday, Feb 4 at 6 p.m. on the City’s television channels, website and Facebook page.

During the live event, Mayor Gerard Hudspeth will be delivering his inaugural address to the community by highlighting the community preparedness for and response to the COVID-19 pandemic, accomplishments of the past year, and what’s on the horizon for the City of Denton.

Here’s what else you can look forward to at the State of the City 2021!

1. Hear Exactly What’s Going on in the Community – The State of the City event is a great way for you to stay informed on the City’s latest accomplishments, programs, projects, and initiatives. During the live event, Thursday Feb. 4 at 6 p.m., take part in the conversation as Mayor Hudspeth and City Manager Todd Hileman discuss the past year and share our priorities for the year ahead.

2. Ask Mayor Hudspeth – Got an idea or question you’d like to share with Mayor Hudspeth? Community members are encouraged to submit questions by filling out the Q&A form to potentially be answered during the live event by Mayor Hudspeth. Please note: any communication with the City will be considered public record.

3. Your Elected Officials and City Leadership in One Event – In addition to Mayor Hudspeth and select City staff, the Denton City Council will be in attendance during the virtual event as well.
