Weather permitting, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will begin reducing lanes on southbound Interstate 35E (I-35E) between the Loop 288 exit ramp and the Mayhill Road overpass at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2 in order to complete the transition to the newly constructed mainlanes by 6 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3. Exit 462 to State School Road/Mayhill Road will reopen at this time. Crews will begin work on the median barrier and centerline paving after the traffic switch.

Message boards will be placed to alert drivers of the closures. Motorists should expect delays and seek alternate routes, if possible. For updates on these road improvements and others, visit www.DriveTexas.org.
