DENTON, TX, Jan. 30, 2026 – The City of Denton has announced the appointment of Matt Hamilton as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Previously serving as the Interim Director of Finance, Hamilton brings over 15 years of experience across various sectors to his new role.
Hamilton joined the City of Denton in 2020 and has played a key role in ensuring the city’s fiscal health. His achievements include overseeing bond financing for major capital projects and managing the development and adoption of the comprehensive annual budget.
