The City of Denton has announced a partnership with Toys for Tots to host the ‘Stuff-A-Truck’ event, aiming to provide toys to local children in need this holiday season. The initiative encourages the community to contribute by donating new, unwrapped toys during the event scheduled for Friday, December 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. The collection will take place outside Denton City Hall at 215 E. McKinney Street.

During the event, local residents will have the opportunity to donate toys to fill Denton’s Fire and Police vehicles. In addition to contributing to a charitable cause, attendees can enjoy complimentary hot chocolate, popcorn, and have a chance to visit with Santa.

For those unable to attend the event on December 13, donations can be made at various locations throughout Denton until Thursday, December 12. Collection points include all eight Denton Fire Stations, two Denton Police locations, and several community centers such as the Denia Recreation Center, MLK Recreation Center, North Lakes Recreation Center, Denton Senior Center, and Denton City Hall.

Toys for Tots, a charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, aims to distribute toys to less fortunate children across the United States to help bring the joy of the holidays to all families. Further information about the organization is available on their website: https://www.toysfortots.org.

This event marks a significant partnership between the City of Denton and Toys for Tots, fostering community involvement and support during the festive season. By contributing to the ‘Stuff-A-Truck’ event or at any of the designated drop-off points, Denton residents can make a meaningful impact on the lives of local children.
