The City of Denton continues to promote proper recycling through its “Recycle Right” initiative and the upcoming Texas Recycles Day event, designed to help residents reduce waste and recycle responsibly. Every Denton household is provided with a blue recycling cart for curbside collection, and residents are reminded to keep recyclables empty, clean, loose, and dry, never bagged.

How to Recycle Right
To ensure materials are properly processed, recyclables should be placed loose in the blue recycling cart. Accepted items include cardboard, paper, aluminum and steel cans, plastic bottles and jugs, glass bottles and jars, and cartons. Plastic bags, Styrofoam, and food-contaminated materials should not be placed in recycling bins.
