Denton’s SHTEAM Punks, a collaborative from Texas Woman’s University (TWU) focused on integrating science, humanities, technology, engineering, arts, and math, is organizing a holiday event for young children. ‘Shtink! Shtank! Punk! A Winter Wonders Adventure’ is scheduled for December 18, 2025, and is open to pre-K through elementary-aged children.

  • Time: 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Location: Second-floor lobby of the Administration Conference Tower at the TWU campus
  • Cost: Free
  • Accompaniment: All children must be accompanied by an adult

  • Science experiments: Hands-on fun with festive science
  • Sensory experiments: Explore the holiday sights, sounds, and smells
  • Art & crafts: Create your own holiday-themed crafts
  • Storytelling: Engage with stories in the story corner
  • Ecology exhibit: Discover North Texas’s winter flora and fauna
  • Coloring and card-making stations

Parking Information

  • Visitor parking garage on Oakland Street
  • Visitor metered parking lot on Administration Drive
  • Free street parking may be available on Oakland Street and surrounding streets
