Denton Enterprise Airport is set to introduce a new Aviation Exploring program this fall, targeting young individuals aged 14-20. This initiative, developed in collaboration with Learning for Life and Scouting America, aims to provide participants with hands-on experiences and insights into the aviation industry, potentially paving the way for future careers in the field.
The program is designed to offer practical knowledge through interactive activities and excursions, allowing students to experience aviation up close. Emphasizing critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership, the initiative seeks to equip participants with skills valuable in any career. By engaging with mentors and industry experts, students will have the opportunity to build networks and draw inspiration from professionals who share their passion for aviation.
Ryan Adams, the Airport Director, expressed enthusiasm about the program, stating, “We are thrilled to build the region’s first Aviation Exploring program at Denton Enterprise Airport. This program not only allows high school students to explore exciting aviation careers but also develops their leadership skills and potential. We believe this program will significantly impact our community and inspire the next generation of aviation professionals.”
To introduce the program, Denton Enterprise Airport will host open houses on July 31 and August 15 at 6:00 PM at the airport’s terminal building, located at 5000 Airport Road. These events will provide an overview of the program, showcase activities, and offer a platform for questions. Community members aged 14-20 are invited to attend.
