DENTON, TX – October 11, 2023 – The City of Denton has announced a public consultation period in preparation for its application to the Pathways to Removing Obstacles to Housing grant program, a competitive funding opportunity supported by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. The city is seeking $10 million in funding to advance its goals outlined in the Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community Development and the Denton Affordable Housing Strategic Toolkit.
From October 12 to 26, 2023, residents are invited to offer their comments and feedback on the city’s grant application. A virtual public hearing is scheduled for October 18 at 6 p.m., providing an additional platform for community members to express their views.
