DENTON, TX, Aug. 23, 2026 – The City of Denton has lifted Stage 1 watering restrictions, marking a return to normal service levels after the successful repair of a damaged basin at one of the City’s water treatment facilities.
On Aug. 19, the City temporarily moved to Stage 1 of its Drought Contingency Plan as a precautionary measure to help manage water demand while the repair was underway.
