Denton, TX, May 16, 2024 — The City of Denton has announced a series of engagement opportunities for residents to participate in discussions regarding proposed amendments to the regulation of Short-Term Rentals (STRs). These amendments stem from feedback gathered during a public outreach survey conducted in the summer of 2023.

The city will host a Town Hall meeting on May 23, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at the Development Service Center, located at 401 N. Elm Street. This event will provide community members the opportunity to discuss the proposed amendments and ask questions directly to city staff.

Further discussions are planned for the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting on May 29, 2024, and the City Council meeting on June 4, 2024, both starting at 6:30 p.m. These meetings will take place in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 215 E. McKinney St. Public hearings during these meetings will review and consider the proposed changes to STR regulations.

Residents seeking more information on the meetings or the proposed STR amendments can visit the city’s website at www.discussdenton.com/short-term-rentals.
