Denton, TX – The City of Denton is currently experiencing significant internet connectivity issues due to an unexpected network problem. The Department of Technology Services is actively addressing the situation, but the interruption is causing disruptions in several public services.

Key services impacted include the unavailability of public WiFi in municipal buildings and the downtown area. Furthermore, the Customer Service kiosk at City Hall East is currently unable to process payments. Residents are advised to utilize alternative payment methods, including in-person transactions, online payments from home computers, local City drop boxes, or any fidelity express payment location.

Despite these challenges, the City assures that the public library network remains functional. Patrons can access the internet at any of the three library branches across the city.

The City estimates that the network issues could persist for approximately five days. Updates on the situation and confirmation of service restoration will be communicated to the public. The City of Denton extends its gratitude to residents for their patience and understanding as efforts continue to resolve the internet connectivity challenges.
