This holiday season, Denton Enterprise Airport and Sheltair Aviation are organizing a food drive to aid local families experiencing food insecurity. The airport community is encouraged to contribute to this effort.
The food drive is running from November 7 through December 5, and participants are asked to donate non-perishable food items to the Denton Community Food Center before the holiday season. Donations are welcome from flight students, tenants, and visitors, all contributing to the goal of ensuring no family goes without a meal this Thanksgiving.
Main Drop-Off Locations:
- Airport Administration Building – 5000 Airport Rd. (open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.)
- Sheltair Aviation Lobby – 5035 Warbird Dr.
- Discover Denton Visitors Center – 111 W. Hickory St.
Additional Airport Drop-Off Locations:

- In the Pattern – 904 Aeronca Ln.
Most Needed Items:
- Peanut Butter
- Cereal (popular brands, 12–20 oz; please avoid oversized or combo boxes)

- Pasta Sauce (16 & 24 oz)
- Canned Fruit
- Canned Tuna or Chicken
- Canned Tomatoes
- Rice (1 lb. bags)
- Apple Juice (64 oz)

- Hamburger Helper / Skillet Dinners
- Snack Bars
- Toddler Foods (individual packs of applesauce, yogurt snacks, small cereal boxes, pudding cups, instant oatmeal)
