The City of Denton’s Auditor is actively seeking input from residents, business owners, and other community stakeholders regarding potential audit projects for the forthcoming fiscal year. This initiative aims to foster community involvement and transparency in the audit process.

“Your voice is crucial in helping us determine where to focus our resources,” stated City Auditor Madison Rorschach. “Your feedback can directly influence which City departments, programs, and functions we review next year, and what matters most to Denton.”

Involving the community is a critical step in identifying areas that could benefit from an independent audit. These areas include the efficiency of city services, program effectiveness, and the proper utilization of public funds. The feedback collected through this survey will be shared with the City Council during their work session on September 9.

Residents are encouraged to participate in this opportunity to impact the focus areas for city audits, ensuring resources are used effectively and align with community priorities.
