The City of Denton is inviting residents and community stakeholders to participate in the Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) Budget planning process. The budget covers the period from October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026. Residents can share their perspectives using an interactive online budget tool, which is available until September 9, 2025. This tool allows users to simulate various General Fund budget scenarios, offering insights into the allocation of tax dollars across essential services.

Feedback provided through this tool will be reviewed by City staff and the City Council as part of ongoing FY26 budget discussions. The information gathered will play a role in the City’s broader engagement efforts and help determine community priorities.

Besides the online tool, the public can engage in the budget process through the following opportunities:

  • Public Hearings: September 9, 2025
  • Budget Adoption: September 16, 2025

To contribute feedback, visit the interactive platform at budgetreview.cityofdenton.com. For additional information on the City’s budget process, visit www.cityofdenton.com/finance.
