Beginning, Friday, Nov. 6, the traffic lights at the intersection of N. Bell Avenue and E. Sherman Drive will be temporarily down for maintenance, and stop signs will be in place. The intersection will be temporarily converted to a 4-way stop and will have various intermittent lane closures. During this time, a contractor for the City of Denton will be reconstructing the traffic signal and completing sidewalk and ramp improvements in the area. Weather permitting, the traffic signal reconstruction and sidewalk improvements are expected to be complete by Jan. 8, 2021.

Signage is posted to alert motorists of the temporary 4-way stop and sidewalk closure. Motorists are reminded to use caution when traveling in the area and adhere to all posted construction signage.
