The City of Denton, in partnership with Stoke Coworking, has officially opened applications for the third annual Denton Pitch Competition. This event, modeled after the popular television show “Shark Tank,” offers Denton-based entrepreneurs the opportunity to present their business ideas to a panel of local judges and compete for cash prizes. The top three contestants will receive $5,000, $3,000, and $2,000, respectively.
The competition is designed to foster growth within Denton’s entrepreneurial community. It provides participants with valuable exposure and the chance to gain critical feedback from experienced business leaders. After the application process, fifteen applicants will be selected to receive free pitch coaching, with ten finalists advancing to the final round, where they will present their ideas on November 21.
Eligibility for the competition is limited to Denton-based businesses or entrepreneurs who operate for-profit enterprises. Winners are required to allocate the prize money towards specific business goals and must submit progress updates at three and six months following the competition.
The application period is open until 5 p.m. on August 31. Entrepreneurs interested in participating can learn more and apply through the official competition portal.
This competition represents a significant opportunity for local entrepreneurs to advance their business ventures and gain recognition within Denton’s thriving business community.
