The 2025 Fall edition of DanceMakers will bring together over 40 dancers in a captivating series of performances at the Margo Jones Performance Hall from November 13-15. This year’s event will feature a diverse array of dance styles, drawing inspiration from regions such as northern Mexico and thematic elements like the ten plagues of Egypt.
“I’m excited that we are presenting a physically vigorous concert featuring diverse aesthetic and cultural styles characteristic of TWU Dance,” said TWU Dance professor Sarah Gamblin.

The program includes engaging performances by TWU’s Ballet Folklórico International Dance Company with pieces like “De Bota Y Sombrero” and “Viva Jalisco,” showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Mexico. Additionally, the program will feature new collaborative works by TWU Dance MFA students and UNT composition students, such as “Red Thread” by Caroline Slayton and Jacob Lord, and “Evergreen” by Briana Chapa and JD Fuller.
Other notable pieces include “Hue.mn” by Gabrielle Bracewell, which explores individual contributions to a collective dance movement, and “Meta” by Anthony Wade, which imagines a journey through an ever-evolving metaverse.
