The Friday Staff Report to City Council provides weekly updates between staff and Council, detailing ongoing and upcoming projects. This week’s report highlights privet removal activities starting Feb. 12 to restore open spaces, a controlled burn at Clear Creek Natural Heritage Center scheduled between Feb. 12 and Mar. 15 to enhance habitat diversity, and night-time lane closures on I-35 E from Feb. 9 to Feb. 11 for roadwork, advising motorists to anticipate delays. Additionally, it addresses traffic safety concerns in the Sequoia Neighborhood with proposed solutions including new signage and striping, and a stop sign at a key intersection, alongside police enforcement to manage speeding. The report also covers inquiries regarding Natatorium fee increases, explaining the process involves a Cost of Service report, benchmarking, and market research, with senior discounts available through insurance-based programs.
