Three members of the University of North Texas community have been named recipients of the prestigious Fulbright Program awards for the 2025-2026 academic year, continuing the institution’s tradition of fostering international collaboration.
The Fulbright Program, initiated by the U.S. Congress in 1946, aims to foster mutual understanding between the U.S. and other countries through research, study, and teaching opportunities. It provides funding for academic staff and students to work on various international projects.
For over a century, UNT has seen more than 100 faculty and staff named as Fulbright Scholars and Specialists. Additionally, since 1949, over 60 students have participated in the Fulbright Student program.
