Weather permitting, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will implement a new traffic pattern on Interstate 35W (I-35W) beginning Sunday, Aug. 2 at 6 p.m.

Crews will close the right lane of northbound and southbound I-35W near the I-35E/I-35W split in Denton to place concrete traffic barriers and temporary striping to shift lanes for the new traffic pattern.

Message boards have been placed to alert drivers of the new traffic pattern. TxDOT asks drivers to remain aware in the work zone.
