Texas Woman’s University (TWU) in Denton, Texas, has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report among the nation’s best in its 2025 ‘Best Online Programs’ edition. This acknowledgment highlights TWU’s competitive online graduate programs in education and nursing, along with its online bachelor’s programs in business. The rankings, which were announced this week, consider several criteria including how programs are tailored for distance learners and their cost-effectiveness.

TWU’s online graduate programs in education achieved a spot in the top quartile nationally, placing seventh among 25 Texas institutions. Key metrics such as ‘Services and Technologies’ and ‘Student Excellence’ contributed to TWU’s national rankings of 33rd and 58th respectively.

The university’s online graduate nursing programs and bachelor’s business programs were ranked in the top half nationally among their peers. Additionally, TWU’s Merrilee Alexander Kick College of Business and Entrepreneurship earned a place on the list of top online MBA programs.

As part of the 2025 rankings, U.S. News evaluated nearly 1,800 online bachelor’s and master’s degree programs across regionally accredited institutions. TWU’s recognition underscores its commitment to providing high-quality, accessible education for students pursuing online studies.
