DENTON, TX, Sept. 15, 2020 – The City of Denton Parks and Recreation Department will host a virtual community input meeting on Thursday, Sept. 24, regarding the status of McKenna Park improvement projects and the potential for additional future park enhancements.
City staff from the Parks and Recreation Department will host the virtual meeting to discuss updates and receive input regarding the following:

Improvement Project Updates: Staff will provide updates and receive input on landscape, pavilion, trail, parking lot, and playground improvements.

Future Park Enhancements: Staff will discuss and receive input regarding soil leftover from the street construction project and the potential to repurpose it for recreation and ground elevation enhancements.

Special accommodations:
The City will provide select accommodations, such as sign language interpreters for the hearing impaired if requested at least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled meeting. Send an email to parksnrec@cityofdenton.com so accommodation requests can be reviewed and processed.
