Jan. 25, 2022 — DENTON — U.S. News & World Report has recognized Texas Woman’s online master’s education programs as being among the nation’s best.

The recognition was announced today in the publication’s annual “Best Online Programs” edition, which offers rankings in a variety of academic categories. U.S. News considers several factors in determining rankings, including student-instructor access, graduation rates and instructor credentials. The publication also notes that ranked programs “excel at educating distance learners while offering robust career and financial support.”

TWU’s online master’s education offerings ranked in the top half of all universities evaluated across the country in that category, and ranked ninth among 20 Texas universities.

“Texas Woman’s not only provides quality, accessible and affordable online education programs, but we do so in a way that meets the needs of busy, career-oriented individuals and their communities,” said Lisa Huffman, dean of the university’s College of Professional Education. “These flexible programs allow students to complete degrees faster, give Texas Woman’s a greater impact on Texas’ teacher workforce, and keep future teachers where they are needed – in their communities.”

In its 2022 edition, the publication assessed 321 online master’s education programs.
