The College of Arts and Sciences, along with the Computer Science Division at Texas Woman’s University (TWU), has announced the inaugural TWU Pioneer Robotics Invitational, set for November 11, 2025. This event invites students from all academic disciplines to engage in a unique robotics competition.

The Invitational will feature two main divisions. In the Pioneer Division, participants will use provided VEX IQ kits, while the Open Division encourages teams to enter with custom-built robots. Both divisions offer a grand prize: a $1,500 team scholarship for the winning team. Additional awards will recognize creativity, innovation, and teamwork.

Organizers encourage participation from varied disciplines, promoting inclusivity and diversity in the competition. The event will be accessible with live American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation and play-by-play audio commentary. All digital materials will be designed to accommodate screen readers, ensuring comprehensive accessibility.
