The City of Denton Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing and consider making a recommendation to City Council regarding a request by Kimley-Horn on behalf of the property owner, Alan Hughes to rezone approximately 92.382 acres from Rural Residential (RR) zoning district to Mixed Use Neighborhood (MN) zoning district and Residential 6 (R6) zoning district. The subject site is generally located north of Johnson Lane, south of Allred Road and 2,325 feet east of John Paine Road to the City of Denton, Denton County, Texas. This hearing is contingent on final approval of Annexation Case A24-0001c at the July 16, 2024, meeting of the Denton City Council.

The recommendation of P&Z will be forwarded to the City Council for final action. P&Z may recommend, and City Council may approve, any request which is equivalent to or more restrictive than that which is requested and which is deemed consistent with Denton 2040 Comprehensive Plan.
