The City of Denton City Council will hold a public hearing and consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, Texas, regarding an initial zoning district and use classification of Light Industrial (LI) Zoning District on approximately 18.6 acres of land, generally located on the northeast corner of US 380 (University Drive) and Thomas Egan Road, in the City of Denton, Denton County, Texas; adopting an amendment to the City’s official zoning map; providing for a penalty in the maximum amount of $2,000.00 for violations thereof; providing a severability clause and an effective date.

Any citizen or group of citizens interested in attending the public hearing is invited to do so. If you plan to attend, you will be given an opportunity to speak for or against the change, or you may attend only to observe. Applicants and their agents are expected to attend.

The recommendation of P&Z will be forwarded to the City Council for final action.  P&Z may recommend, and City Council may approve, any request which is equivalent to or more restrictive than that which is requested and which is deemed consistent with Denton 2040 Comprehensive Plan.
