Hold a public hearing and consider making a recommendation to City Council regarding a zoning change request by the applicant Dennis Chovan of Halff & Associates Inc., on behalf of the Harris Ranch Ownership; to initially zone approximately 247.78 acres of land recently annexed into the city to a Light Industrial (LI) Zoning District; to rezone approximately 25.84 acres of land from a Highway Corridor (HC) Zoning District to a LI Zoning District; and to rezone approximately 7.21 acres of land from a Mixed-Use Regional (MR) Zoning District to a LI Zoning District. The site is generally located on the southwest corner of I-35 North and the future extension of Loop 288, in the City of Denton, Denton County, Texas.

The recommendation of P&Z will be forwarded to the City Council for final action, which is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. The P&Z may recommend, and City Council may approve, any request which is equivalent to or more restrictive than that which is requested and which is deemed consistent with Denton Plan 2030.
