The City of Denton Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing and consider making a recommendation to City Council regarding a request by the City of Denton to rezone approximately 30.43 acres from Public Facilities (PF) District to Heavy Industrial (HI) District. The subject site is generally located on the south side of Jim Christal Road, approximately 900 feet east of Thomas J Egan Road, in the City of Denton, Denton County, Texas.

The meeting is being held virtually. Residents wishing to participate may fill out a virtual comment card which will be provided for the Planning and Zoning Commission for consideration or there is an option to call into the meeting. For information on how to participate, visit www.cityofdenton.com/publicmeetings and view the upcoming Planning and Zoning Commission agenda.
Properties within 200 feet of the subject property were notified of the request pursuant to the Texas Local Government Code. As a courtesy, the City of Denton also sends notification to all physical addresses within a 500-foot radius of the subject property.
The recommendation of P&Z will be forwarded to the City Council for final action. City Council may approve, any request which is equivalent to or more restrictive than that which is requested and which is deemed consistent with Denton Plan 2030.
