Grayson College and the University of North Texas (UNT) have announced a new partnership designed to ease the transfer process for students and bolster their educational and career aspirations. This agreement, signed by Grayson College President Dr. Jeremy McMillen and UNT President Dr. Harrison Keller, aims to smooth academic transitions and support student success.
The transfer agreement benefits Grayson College students who complete an associate degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. These students are eligible for a $500 transfer bonus award once they enroll at UNT. Furthermore, the collaboration enhances engagement opportunities through the UNT Eagle Bound Program, which offers advising, outreach, and transfer support.
Dr. McMillen stated, “This partnership with UNT allows Grayson College students to take the next step in their academic journey with confidence, knowing their hard work here directly connects to their future goals. Together, we’re helping students turn their vision for the future into reality.”
Dr. Keller added, “This partnership will expand educational and economic opportunities for individual students and help provide the talent our North Texas region needs.”
To kickstart the transfer partnership, UNT will host an event called Transfer Express at Grayson College:
- Date: November 11
- Location: Grayson College
At this event, Grayson students can meet with UNT admissions counselors, learn more about the Eagle Bound Program, submit admissions applications, and receive an application fee waiver.
This partnership is part of Grayson College’s effort to reinforce transfer and workforce pathways, ensuring students have a clear next step post-graduation.
