September 2, 2021 – DENTON – Join the Texas Woman’s University Division of Music for “Home of the Brave,” a 9/11 memorial concert featuring performances by the TWU band, choir and orchestra. The event will take place in Margo Jones Performance Hall on TWU’s Denton campus at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 11.

The concert is free and open to the public. Masks and social distancing are encouraged, and street parking is available to all guests.

TWU’s Chamber Singers, Concert Choir, Wind Symphony and Chamber Orchestra will perform timeless classics, including “The Star-Spangled Banner” by John Stafford Smith and Francis Scott Key and “America the Beautiful” by Samuel Augustus Ward, as well as contemporary pieces, including “A Hymn for the Lost and the Living” by Eric Ewazen and “Goodnight, Dear Heart” by Dan Forrest.
