An impressionistic haiku-like film, illustrating a man’s first visit to his father’s occupied homeland Tibet, the second most repressed country on earth. Assembled using 16mm hand-processed film of personal road trip footage and mainstream archives, The Visit artfully explores the liminal space of inherited exile, and the profound effects of intergenerational loss, longing and stifled rage.
