Sally Beauty Holdings is increasing its North Texas investment on both the corporate and retail sides of its business. The beauty supply retailer and distributor announced it will expand its workforce and invest in digital commerce capabilities as well as brand marketing and strategy and global sourcing. This investment will add around 40 new jobs at its Denton headquarters.
It also announced a planned upgrade of around 100 Sally Beauty Supply retail locations around North Texas with the remodeling based on a recent Las Vegas concept store test. The updates are expected to include new tech along with physical upgrades.
Seventy five additional North Texas stores are under consideration for either a remodel or relocation based on market assessments and landlord negotiations.
“The combination of new expertise, new digital capabilities, refreshed stores and an efficient supply chain all support a great experience for our customers and will contribute to our growth. We are making the investments necessary to drive the success of Sally Beauty for the long-term and North Texas is at the center of our efforts,” Aaron Alt, president and CFO of Sally Beauty Supply, said in a statement.
Sally Beauty’s previously announced 500,000-square-foot automated distribution node is expected to be located in Denton and create 270 new jobs. The opening is on track for March 2020, according to a statement.
