The City of Denton Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, and consider making a recommendation to City Council approving two ordinances related to House Bill 2439 regarding regulating building products, materials, or methods used in the construction or renovation of residential and commercial buildings, House Bill 3167 regarding municipal approval procedure for land development applications.
You are being notified of this public hearing because the amendments to the DDC will affect all Denton residents, businesses and property owners.
Following the Planning & Zoning Commission meeting, the City of Denton City Council will hold a public hearing and consider adoption of an ordinance on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 regarding the propose ordinances.
Pursuant to the Texas Local Government Code a public hearing notice of the proposed amendments to the DDC is required to be published. You are invited to make your views known by attending the public hearing, calling or emailing the staff contact listed below, or visiting with staff at the Department of Development Services office.
Any citizen or group of citizens interested in attending the public hearing is invited to do so. If you attend, you will be given an opportunity to speak for or against the request, or you may attend only to observe.
