The City of Denton Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing and consider making a recommendation to City Council regarding a request by Teague Nall and Perkins, Inc. on behalf of Denton Independent School District for an Alternative Environmentally Sensitive Area Plan for Ryan High School. The approximately 78.904-acre property is generally located on the north side of East McKinney Street, approximately 1,740 feet east of the intersection of Mayhill Road in the City of Denton, Denton County, Texas.

The proposed project will remove a riparian buffer Environmentally Sensitive Area (ESA) for the construction of drainage improvements supporting a parking lot. The applicant is proposing the transfer of water quality treatment offered by the riparian buffer by improving drainage features elsewhere on the high school property.
