The Friday Staff Report to City Council provides weekly updates between staff and Council. In the upcoming Nov. 14 Council Work Session, a key topic under Ordinance No. 23-1431 will be the City of Denton’s strategy for developing affordable housing through Public Facility Corporations. This discussion aims to clarify the definition, establishment, and administration of these corporations. Additionally, the report highlights a significant enhancement at Animal Services with the acquisition of a new X-Ray machine, funded by the Denton Animal Support Foundation (DASF). Following staff training completed on Nov. 8, this addition allows for in-house animal scanning, as demonstrated with a bearded dragon named Spencer, improving efficiency and treatment speed while reducing costs and reliance on external resources.
